Pain is the number one fear of people facing serious and terminal illnesses. This session will review the total pain concept and address the role each member of the interdisciplinary team can take in a holistic approach to pain management. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches will be explored.

1.0 Contact Hour

Transitions LifeCare is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Non-nurses need to contact their appropriate licensing bodies and certifying associations to determine if there is reciprocity for attending approved nursing CE classes.
